Jogging in the morning with or without breakfast

Just got asked by friend if it is good to run on an empty stomach in the morning or to have breakfast before the run. Well opinions here split but I personally wouldn't recommend exercise of any type on an empty stomach, whether it's in the morning or later in the day.
